Carla D. Armstrong
An international speaker, life image coach and consultant who loves fashion. Carla uses her life experiences to help others transform their lives from the inside out. Her use of affordable image coaching and consulting is her personal tool for helping her clients develop into who they are both internally and externally. As a ministry leader for over 20 years Ms. Armstrong has helped transform the lives of women and youth.
Carla has provided over 1,000 hours of group personal development coaching sessions for women and teen clients. She worked as a coach for My Life Compass for two years. Her groups have been inspired to follow their dreams and to pursue their goals through the learning experience. Some women clients have moved on to become coaches themselves, while teens have been helped with developing positive self esteem and body image.
Carla provides workshops/trainings and has been a keynote speaker and workshop facilitator for women and youth groups, non-profits, governmental organizations, colleges and churches. Her "First Generation" college student workshops have been used to help students adjust and transition to a new learning environment while coping with family adversity. She has also provided workshops for RA's helping them embrace the importance of self care while working in college environment.
Carla is the Founder and CEO of Women Making a Difference, Inc., a non-profit organization she established as a result of her passion for single mothers and their children. She became a parent as a teen and knows first hand the challenges of being a single mother. Carla believes providing young mothers with personal development and parenting skills, will help them develop a strong family foundation. She also worked for two years in Baltimore City schools providing workshops and mentoring services, and teaching twenty character education classes to tweens and teens. She has been an Americorp volunteer and wholeheartedly believes in the value of being a volunteer.
Carla's passion for serving others has been the gateway to her living her own personal dream. She continues to pursue her love of fashion through her travels abroad, fashion blogging and image coaching/consulting. Her fashion skills can also been seen through her work as a co-founder of a mens program:Million Dollar Man, Inc. Carla is a member of Circle of Champions, and National Association of Professional Women. She loves being a wife, mother and grandmother. Traveling the world, and reading are some of her favorite things to do.
